MAHAPRABHU AND SRI SRI RAGHUNATH UPADHYAY

Sri Sri Raghunath Upadhyay was so proficient and had such an divine expertise in chanting “BHAGABATAM” to his “GOPAL” that MAHAPRABHU visited here 550 years back just to enjoy his heavenly chanting and narration. MAHAPRABHU WAS SO ELATED AND HAD ECSTATIC FEELINGS THAT IN THIS VERY PLACE  HE DANCED CONSTANTLY FOR EIGHT(8) HOURS AND STAYED HERE FOR THREE DAYS IN HIS DIVINE DYNAMIC SAMADHI —– SINCE THEN IT IS A DHAM– AND A PLACE WORTH VISITING —-

The photograph shows how Sri Sri Raghunath Upadhyay is chanting “BHAGABATAM” & Narrating it to MAHAPRABHU—-The “BHAGATBATAM”  is still kept there and worshipped as an “IDOL” — WHICH CAN BE WITNESSED.

THE FAMOUS “VIGRAHA/IDOL” IN PATHBARI

Some 600 years ago Sri Sri Raghunath Upadhyay a great great “Bhagabatacharya” stayed here and worshipped only the idol of “GOPAL” there in the photo. Then the place was surrounded by trees almost a jungle by the side of the River Ganges. He used to read “BHAGAWAT” EVERYDAY to make his beloved “GOPAL” hear it.
